It was in September 1972 that SIMCA unveiled the 1000 rallye 2, equipped with a 1294 cc Poissy engine developing a power of 82 hp DIN at 6000 rpm. Thanks to its 2 horizontal double-body carburettors and its 860 kgs, it reaches 162 km/h.
